Portfolio Index Miscellaneous Modeling

Description: As a member of the IMAGINE Group at Georgia Tech, I was involved in a number of projects. The following mpegs are a sample of some of these projects.

Slide Title: The Atlanta Model
Specs: 345k mpeg, 30 seconds
Description: This ambitious project is a 3d model of the the downtown and midtown neighborhoods. Beginning with a model of Georgia State University, it has grown considerably over the years to include Georgia Tech's campus, the downtown olympic venues, and many prominant buildings. This project is continually expanded and updated by the IMAGINE Group.

Slide Title: COPA, Centennial Olympic Park Area
Specs: 357k mpeg, 8 seconds
Description: Central Atlanta Progress produced a 7min video to show what was being recommended as a master plan for the (re)development of the Centennial Olympic Park Area after the games had departed. The IMAGINE Group modified the Atlanta model and produced 4 separate animated fly-bys detailing the area of interest. The animations were combined with video and artist renderings of the proposed living, working, meeting and entertainment areas for the final presentation piece. The resulting video was first shown to approximately 1000 civic leaders at the CAP's annual meeting.

Lenox Park Project

IMAGINE has created a 3D computer model and animations of a mixed use development in the heart of Buckhead. This model is one of the largest computer-based architectural models in the world. At over two million faces, the model provides a highly detailed visualization of a one hundred sixty acre area, which is projected to contain over 1.2 million square feet of class A office space.
Slide Title: Lenox Park: Gables Apartments
Specs: 281k mpeg, 24 seconds

Slide Title: Lenox Park: Post Apartments
Specs: 211k mpeg, 18 seconds
Description: The roads, parking and terrain of this hilly site (it was once a golf course) was arguably more difficult than the architectural models.
