Portfolio Index  Programming

I am an architect with 8 years of experience in computer programming. I specialize in developing comprehensive internet solutions for businesses. As an architect, I am interested in the integration of complex information systems, i.e. communication between CAD (electronic drawings), Excell (data collection), and Word (specifications). In the general business arena, I apply this same knowledge to organize information in a clear, concise presentation.

Sample of work :

Contact Database Program

Friday Systems, Inc. is a full service software development company providing leasing and financial software. While in charge of research and development, I designed and wrote a customer tracking database interface.

Clone PC

While at Georgia Tech, I was in charge of the computer labs. I wrote a menu interface. When a computer was idle, it polled the network looking for commands from the administrator. Its main function was to clone itself from a network copy, restoring deleted settings, files, and complete programs, and cleaning up temporary files. Through this method, it was possible to install a program once, and quickly duplicate it over 60 machines simultaneously. Other tasks it could do included looking for batch rendering commands from 3dStudio.

CAD Macros

I have written macros and scripts in both Microstation and AutoCAD, from simple time/date stamps, to routines that allow click element and load reference files, to routines for batch printing.

Web Scripting

Using GDIdb, a database web publishing program, I have been able to automate the creation and maintenance of a movie review web database. I also have created an archive of the Kenneth F. Brown Design award. Highlights can be seen at the web site.
